When you registered for GottmanConnect.com and may have purchased products such as a Gottman Coach course, the system created a Client account for you. Now that you are trying to sign-up with a Professional account for use with the Relationship Checkup, the system is detecting your email is already in use.
Client accounts and Professional accounts are separate in Gottman Connect and require separate email addresses. In order to create a Professional account, you will need to use an email address that is unique and not already used with your Client account.
When creating a Professional account, if you would like to use the email already associated with your Client account, you can swap the emails by:
- Logging into GottmanConnect.com under your current Client account.
- Use the top-right icon to navigate to 'Edit Profile'.
- Enter a new and different email address, and save the changes and logout.
- Go to ww.gottmanconnect.com, select Sign Up, and create a new account with the original desired email address.
