To add or invite a couple, log in to www.GottmanConnect.com via the Log In option.
From either the home page or the "Couples" area at the top, you can click the button to "+ Add Couple"
You will then have a choice of either, "Checkup" for the standard online version of the assessment, or "Checkup + Builder" for a more complete assessment experience.
You will then have the choice of who will pay:
1. Use a credit
1 credit = 1 assessment. You should automatically have 1 credit in your account because your first assessment is free. Moving forward, the option to use a credit will disappear if you have no credits.
2. I will pay (the clinician will pay)
The clinician will be charged $39 and can be reimbursed by the couple they're working with. With this option, both of your clients will receive the invitation at the same time.
3. The client will pay
Here, you assign the couple to pay for the assessments. They'll be charged $39 one time, as a couple, NOT per person. It does not matter which of them logs on first and pays for the assessment.
Once you've chosen who will pay, you'll be asked to enter your clients names and email addresses. Please be sure there are no typos in the email addresses, as email is how your clients will receive the invitation to complete the assessment.
An email will be sent to both partners saying their clinician invited them to take the assessment. By clicking on the link provided, they will be prompted to set up an account. After setting up their account and logging in, if the assessment still needs to be paid, it will prompt them to pay for it before being able to start. If you have paid for it, or the other partner has already paid for it, they will simply be able to skip that step and start the assessment.
The assessments are on average 45 minutes long. If they decide to take a break and want to pick up where they left off, they just need to go back to https://gottmanconnect.com. They will log in using the email and password that they entered when they created their account. They can also continue to use the link provided in their invitation email for convenience.
