Client privacy is of utmost importance and is a vital part of the Gottman Relationship Checkup process.
In general, please note that upon invitation to a professional assessment, each client will receive their own email notification, and each client receives their own unique invite link to their own email inbox. Please work with them to ensure they use only their own links and email accounts to login and complete the questionnaires.
Sometimes, a couple shares a single computer and accidentally logs-in to the wrong account or registers from the wrong email link. To ensure client privacy is not compromised, we recommend starting by resetting each of this couple's questionnaires. You can do so following these steps:
After resetting their questionnaires, please verify that each partner is working within their account. Here is an example how to:
- Let's say that Partner 1 accidentally opened Partner 2's email from their shared computer and registered on their behalf.
- Partner 1 then proceeded to complete Partner 2's questionnaire within Gottman Connect.
- You will now see that Partner 1 is telling you that they finished their questionnaire, but in your dashboard, you will see that Partner 1's questionnaire has not been started, and Partner 2's questionnaire is fully completed. Something's wrong!
- The most important thing is to ensure the privacy of questionnaire responses. The first thing we recommend doing is to reset Partner 2's completed questionnaire from your couple's dashboard within your clinician account.
- Then, we recommend asking Partner 2 go to gottmanconnect.com/login and reset their password using the reset link. This will ensure that Partner 2's account is secure and only accessible by Partner 2. They can then login and complete the questionnaire from their own account.
- Partner 1, in this situation, will need to go back to their own email account, register, and re-complete the questionnaire from their own account.
